I really wanted something different on this particular night. Dinners are really our favorite meals because we get to have them together. Cooking for my husband has always been one of my favorite pleasures - the man is just so easily pleased, and so very full of praise all the time! To be fair, though, Deep hates cooking so very much, that even ramen noodles done a bit fancy might receive unbridled praise. Haha!
But jokes apart, I won't go into too much detail on this particular post, since I have to finish working on a bunch of other content that are going up throughout the weekend/next week. Hover over or click on each image to get a brief caption describing what's going on, unless the image is accompanied by some text. Enjoy!
In terms of spices, we need Balsamic Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Wholegrain Dijon Mustard to create a simple classic vinaigrette to dress our greens. Salt and pepper to taste, of course.
To quickly marinade the shrimps, I used a mixture of: Smoked Paprika, Salt, Black Pepper, Roasted Garlic Oil, and a lovely spice blend from The Gourmet Collection that had Garlic, Chili, Chives and some more Smoked Paprika. It's a great blend for both seafood and poultry.
So, that was short and sweet. This was such an absolutely delicious, healthy, and different dinner! We didn't miss any of the traditional carbs such as pasta or brown rice. The sweet potatoes and corn were just enough. Some healthy protein and leafy greens, and this was just the perfect balance for a dinner! (The final plate is shared in the first image of this post) I hope you guys will give this a shot - let me know how it goes, and post pictures on either the MrinHearts Facebook page or link to my Twitter!
Hope to hear back from you guys with feedback on what you think about this format. Let me know how I can make these segments more interesting and fun!
